Nearly 3 and 1/2 years since my last post.  Must try harder!

Currently my blog still lists the oscar winners from 2005... oh well!  Time to post the winners for 2009 :-)

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Even with loads of storylines missing from the book, this film still felt very long. Primarily concentrating on the tri wizard tournament, the special effects are nothing short of spectacular. Excellently cast british audiences will recognise a lot of tv favourite faces in the new roles introduced here.

Watch Out For: Ralph Fiennes

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

Hilarious. A must see film. Val Kilmer and Robert Downey Jr are both excellent. The plot is a little bit hard to follow at times but you can forgive this in a film that is laugh out loud funny.

Watch This If: you've got a sense of humour

Watch Out For: the finger incident - ouch!

Elizabethtown

Dull dull dull. Almost as bad as Wimbledon, but with a slightly better soundtrack. Not even Susan Sarandon could save this dire couple of hours.

Watch This If: you're having problems sleeping.

Into The Blue

What a very silly film. Plot? What plot? Still it was fairly watchable, if 100% predictable.

Watch This If: you like pretty people in swim wear

Watch Out For: The Sharks that only eat the baddzies

The Brothers Grimm

and it was truly grim. A mixture of fairy tales with no coherent story.

Watch This If: you can spare a couple of hours of your life

The Legend of Zorro

Lets see, Antonio in a mask, Catherine in a frock, immaculate makeup and a truly terrible accent (think her welsh accent might have been more convincing). Although on the plus side her boobs were great and she should definitely get the 'Best Supported' Actress Oscar.

I couldn't really follow the storyline, something about swords, secrets and soap. But then again i did fall asleep during it.
